Alice Swing | Psychologist

GradDipPsych, MPsych (Ed & Dev), MAPS

I strive to assist people in finding harmony as they navigate life’s challenges. My approach is collaborative, working with clients to achieve their goals, better understand their emotional experiences and enhance their wellbeing.

I help young people (10+) and adults with:

  • depression, low mood and low motivation
  • anxiety and worry
  • relationship difficulties
  • phobias
  • school issues
  • work stress, conflict or job dissatisfaction
  • low self-esteem and self critisism
  • grief and loss
  • sleep problems
  • adjusting to life transitions

My therapeutic approach includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, and other mindfulness based approaches. I believe we all have the capacity to increase our awareness and thus better understand ourselves and make choices that align with our individual values.

I am passionate about building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and bringing genuine kindness and empathy to the room. I have found great personal growth from mindful meditation techniques and I am a lover of nature and yoga. I am an LGBTQI+ ally, a great believer in diversity, and acceptance is key to my work.
