Psychological reports for adopting a child from another country
Adopting a child from another country can be a rewarding but challenging process in terms of time length and requirements from government agencies. Foundation Psychology aims to make this step of the process easy, and provide adoption reports of quality that is a fair assessment of parenting capacity.
What is involved in an adoption psychological assessment?
The assessment is with a Clinical Psychologist who is experienced in this area. The time length is 4 hours with the couple in total. The assessment process involves an interview and questionnaires and exploring mental health and coping, couple functioning and reasons for adopting. The report can be prepared in a week after the assessment. The aim to provide a quality and efficient service to parents to be and reduce the stress and provide recommendations to assist as much as possible. Once we complete a report we provide parents with a copy, as well as the inter country adoption agency.
