Catherine Albert | Psychologist

BPsych, Board-Approved Supervisor

I am a registered psychologist with a genuine interest in understanding and helping people. For over 14 years I have been working alongside children, teenagers and adults with warmth, compassion, authenticity, a loud voice and a sense of humour. It is important to me that I can support you to find what you are looking for, no matter how tricky the journey is.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and families with complex needs. Presenting concerns may include:

  • Complex relationships
  • Attachment concerns
  • Trauma
  • Anxiety
  • Emotional regulation concerns
  • Neurodiversity
  • Social concerns

I use an eclectic mix of theories and ideas to ensure an individual and person-centred approach to therapy. Models that underpin this approach include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), parenting support such as Circle of Security and neurobiology of trauma training, research and principles.

I am a Board Approved Supervisor with a passion for supporting new psychologists to build upon their skills and knowledge, and concurrently, their appreciation of this meaningful and profound work.
