Claudia Giles | Clinical Psychologist
BPsychSc (Hons), MPsych (Clinical)
I enjoy working with young people (13+) and adults alike, using a thoughtful and flexible approach built from psychological interventions including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy. In addition, I draw from family therapies and parent training to offer more systemic interventions. I have an appreciation for the roles of culture, religion, sexuality and gender in therapy, welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds. Above all, I value offering a compassionate space for clients to have their authentic self seen and heard.
I have special interests in helping clients and families move through challenges such as:
- Relationship difficulties, including parent/child and co-parenting concerns
- Grief/loss and adjustment
- Perfectionism
- Identity instability
- Generalised anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, and panic attacks
- Depression
- Adolescent issues
