Rosa has a strong interest and passion for working with Autism Spectrum Disorders, psychological assessments and psychometric testing for children, adolescents and adults. She delivers a comprehensive assessment service, particularly for the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), behavioural difficulties, cognitive functioning, and adaptive behaviour assessments. Rosa has undergone extensive training using the Autism Diagnostic Interview, the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC).
Rosa adopts an individualised assessments with toddlers, pre-schoolers, children, adolescents, adults and their families to assist and support them with their concerns and difficulties, and to build on their areas of competency and strengths in a collaborative, nurturing and supportive manner.
Dr Rosa Galante is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
She completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Psychology (with Honours) at Victoria University, and a Postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Victoria University.
Rosa has worked in a variety of settings including a University Psychology Clinic, a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service and an Adult Mental Health Service. Her current work is in private practice as well as assessing students in various schools across Melbourne for Intellectual Disability and Severe Language Disorder.
