Ashley Depasquale | Psychologist

BPsych (Hons), MPsych (Clinical), MAPS

As a psychologist I use a warm and empathic approach to create a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental relationship with those I work with to help them work towards their goals. I work with individuals across all ages. I am also experienced in working with young people (12-25) and enjoy connecting with them and working together collaboratively to tackle the unique challenges they face.  I draw on a number of evidence-based interventions to support the needs of the individuals I work with, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. I also believe in using a strengths-based approach to empower the individual to realise their potential and strengths.

My areas of interest include

  • Adolescent issues
  • Eating disorders
  • Body-image issues
  • Low self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety disorders (general anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks)
  • School and workplace stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Addiction (drug and alcohol)
  • Behavioural difficulties in children
  • Sleep issues
  • Grief and loss

I am currently a Clinical Psychology Registrar undertaking advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.
